The Ballad of the Chinese Pub

Let me tell you a story of a magical place,
A pub that greets you with a warm embrace.
For within those walls hide wonderous things,
Such as an offshore with lime and chicken wings.

Three men did travel from far away
Two travelled by land and sea all day
And greeting them was their friend, Dave
Who told them stories of wings to crave.

That evening they ventured to the Fortune Inn,
But nothing prepared them for the wonders within.
The food served inside was so tasty and grand
And the beer so cold it chilled the hand.

They drank and they ate till late at night
So much food devoured, it was a magnificent sight
The bones from the wings lay scattered around
No finer food could ever be found.

Sadly all tales find an end one day.
Despite their best efforts, they could not stay.
Each night they dream to return once more,
And the Chinese pub will hold open their door.

As no pub around could ever compare.
A place so good that none can prepare.
They find comfort in their hearts that yearn,
Knowing that one day they will return.
